In this speech to the AEI over three years ago, Bush speaks of using force in Iraq as a last resort
If war is forced upon us by Iraq's refusal to disarm, we will meet an enemy who hides his military forces behind civilians, who has terrible weapons, who is capable of any crime.and then force as inevitable
Much is asked of America in this year 2003. The work ahead is demanding. It will be difficult to help freedom take hold in a country that has known three decades of dictatorship, secret police, internal divisions and war.He also uses the word "peace" 20 times.
Later at the 5/4/2003 infamous "Mission Accomplished" speech, he promised
You see, the al Qaeda no longer have a ally in the regime in Iraq.Conveniently though a new Iraqi ally was quickly found in Zarqawi.
